BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (September 14, 2015) – Brookwood Village, the dynamic mixed-use development located in Mountain Brook and Homewood, today announced the lineup for its two-week fall Brookwood Live concert series.  The popular event returns to Village Lane at Brookwood Village for two consecutive Thursday evenings beginning September 24 from 5pm until 9pm.  

The Schmohawks will kick off the series on Thursday, September 24.  This Birmingham-based cover band, formed in November 2012, features five members who specialize in “the tunes you hold nearest and dearest to your heart.”  The band has performed at many wedding receptions, private parties, sorority and fraternity gigs, as well as at numerous Birmingham-area bars.  This marks the band’s Brookwood Live debut.       

Rock Candy makes a return appearance on the Brookwood Live stage on Thursday, October 1.  This versatile rock-and-roll band formed to appeal to the 21- to 50-year-old crowd.  Performing mainly rock-and-roll tunes from the ‘60s through current Top 40 hits, Rock Candy is comprised of talented musicians and two female lead vocalists.

Miller, portfolio marketing director for Cypress Equities, the managing agent for Brookwood Village.  “Brookwood Live provides Birmingham residents and visitors with a superb entertainment experience accompanied by an impressive shopping and dining opportunity all in one place.  Plus, it will give visitors an opportunity to check out the latest developments in the shopping center’s comprehensive interior renovation that is currently underway.”

Brookwood Live concerts are free of charge and open to the public.  Brookwood Village guests will have the opportunity to win preferred seating to one of the performances.  By joining the center’s Mobile Club and texting LIVE to 444222, guests may register to win front-row seating at a reserved table for six.  One winner will be selected for each performance date, but entry is only necessary one time.  Interested parties should register by September 21 for the opportunity related to the September 24 opening performance, but no later than September 28 for the final concert.
